Preserve Your Legacy with a Gift to the Foundation
Every gift to the Women in Medicine Legacy Foundation allows us to ensure that the history of women in medicine and the medical sciences continues to be preserved and promoted in perpetuity. Unrestricted gifts provide the Foundation with maximum flexibility, but we also encourage all donors to follow their passion for our programs with a restricted gift (minimum restricted gift of $100).
These opportunities include:
Oral History Projects
Processing Grants
Alma Dea Morani Award
Research Fellowships
We have numerous giving options, and annual gifts of $1,000 or more will be recognized with membership in our 1849 Society. Generous donors who have established estate and planned gifts are recognized as members of The Hannah Longshore, MD Society.

Giving Options
The Power of a Simple Gift
By making a cash gift by check or through our online donation process, you enable us to meet our most urgent needs and carry out our mission on a daily basis. Make a one-time gift by donating online or mailing your check to: WIMLF | P.O. Box 925 | Voorhees, NJ 08043.
Gifts of Stock
Giving stock that has been held more than 12 months offers a two-fold tax savings: A tax-deduction for the full fair market value of the stock on the date of the gift and capital gains can be avoided. For stock transfer information, please contact us.
1849 Society
We recognize our most generous supporters as members of the 1849 Society. These individuals commit to annual gifts of $1,000 or more.
Tribute Gifts
Make traditional gift-giving occasions more meaningful with a gift to the Foundation. Whatever the occasion, consider asking those who are celebrating with you to make a donation.
Memorial Gifts
Honor the memory of your loved one by making a gift in their name. All memorial gifts will be acknowledged through a personal note to the family of your loved one.
Planned Giving
Planned gifts allow your values to continue beyond your lifetime. Planned gifts are typically made through your will or estate plans to benefit the future of the Foundation. All donors making planned gifts become members of the Hannah Longshore Society.
IRA Charitable Giving
Individual Retirement Account (IRA) owners over age 70½ may make a transfer of up to $100,000 per year to qualified charities, including the Women in Medicine Legacy Foundation. IRA charitable rollovers are tax-free and not included in adjusted gross income. An IRA charitable rollover may fulfill part or all of your required minimum distribution (RMD).

Alma Dea Morani Event Sponsorship Opportunities
Sponsors will gain invaluable exposure and access to a qualified audience of 75,000–80,000 medical professionals and those interested in or supporters of science and medicine. Sponsorship helps to underwrite the expenses of the lecture series and assists the Foundation in fulfilling its mission through scholarships, oral histories, a HUB of women in medicine collections, and grants to others interested in preserving their women in medicine archives.
