We’ve put together a short list of ways you can show your support for women in medicine during Women’s History Month. The best way is to share their stories.
Be Social: Show your support for women in medicine by posting on social media using #womenshistorymonth, #womensupportingwomen, #womeninmedicine, #femaledoctor.
Discover. Read stories about historical figures in medicine on the Foundation’s blog, or take a look at our Oral History Collection.
Connect. Identify the female leaders at your medical organization and learn more about them. Even better, take time to meet with them so you can learn from them.
Say Thank You: Whether it’s a friend, colleague, or your own doctor, take a moment to thank a woman in medicine that you know.
Donate: Our history is often defined by those who write it than by those who do it. It’s important to support organizations like the Foundation so that our history is both well-preserved and shared in a way that inspires a better future.
